Dilesh Patel
Optometrist
Dilesh graduated as an optometrist from the University of Bradford. He worked for high street opticians before opening his practice in 1992. He has always believed in the state of the art equipment which is reflected in the services offered. He has experience in Myopia Management and is accredited in ORTHO-K lenses, Rodenstock Mycon lenses and soft contact lenses to control the progression of Myopia. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and playing golf.
Shilpa Patel
Practice Manager
Shilpa helped Dilesh set up the practice in 1992. She worked for a small independent group of opticians to gain experience in how to manage the day to day running of a practice. She also has 14 years of teaching English as a Second Language in a local college. She enjoys the interaction with the local community. She is passionate about eyewear and is always willing to help patients to create the best look whilst ensuring patient are comfortable with their frame choices. She enjoys reading, travelling and cooking.
Ting Suri
Optometrist
Ting is an experienced optometrist, having worked in the optics industry since 1998. Her extensive experience and knowledge are reflected in her comprehensive eye examinations and the tailored service she provides to all her patients. She is known for her friendly, caring, helpful attitude and clinical excellence. Her past experience has been working for multiples and independent opticians. Alongside testing patients of all ages, Ting is adept in contact lens fittings, complex prescriptions, spectacle dispensing and adjustments, and accredited to provide all methods of myopia management. She is passionate about meeting the needs of our local community. In her spare time Ting enjoys playing badminton, travelling and spending time with her husband and two children.
Jennifer Powell
Optical Assistant
Jennifer joined Mirage in 2021.She completed an optical assistant apprenticeship and is an expert on Rodenstock lenses. She is the first point of contact at reception and is ready and willing to assist with appointments or any enquiries. She is enthusiastic about frame styling and niche eyewear. She is friendly and happy to advise with regard to your particular needs. Outside work Jennifer enjoys reading, stargazing and going to concerts
